Line 6 expression pedal issues.

Hey everyone,

Firstly, can I just say, I have wasted years not using Midi and just about ruined my back for life carrying around a pedal board the size of a bus.

Have a line 6 ex1 expression pedal that I would like to use for global volume on my G Major 2. Only problem is that the GCP I use for Midi wont seem to recognize the expression pedal properly. I've tried replacing the stereo lead and tried it running straight in to the G major 2 (The stereo leads all work fine and the G Major 2 will recognize the pedal when I run it straight into the pedal jack on the unit). So I know that the pedal works and the issue is that the the GCP wont recognize the pedal

When I try to assign it to a preset on the GCP, the numbers sit on about 14 ( not moving from 0 - 127 like it should) and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I don't really know that pedal but it might not be compatible with GCP.

Did u check this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pGLO4TDous

if u follow it step by step it should work. If still doesn't work Id suspect pedal not compatible with GCP.

The EX-1 is not compatible with the Ground Control Pro because it uses a TS (mono) connection for its expression jack. The Ground Control Pro requires an expression pedal with a TRS (Stereo) connection or any value volume pedal with In and Out jacks. Good Luck!
