TRS CABLE FOR EXPRESSION PEDALS

Does a TRS cable have to be used for expression pedals or can you use a mono to the out of the volume pedal?

It all depends on what you are connecting the expression pedal to... A Ground Control Pro uses a TRS connection. An original Ground Control uses a mono connection.
