Oh okay that one. It actually hasn't been released yet hence the "PRELIMINARY INFO". Looks like a very usefull unit, good for guys who are already using all the loops on their GCX or Pedal Switcher.

We did go back and add some new functionality to the Control Switcher. Here's the capability:

-Control it from a Commander same as a Pedal Switcher.
-Control it from Ground Control Pro and it emulates 4 loops of a GCX.
-Individual switches respond to cc messages.
-Store presets and recall with program change messages.
-Each switch can be setup as latching or momentary type.

We are testing firmware and working on the manual. Units are built waiting for final. Everything is going well and I expect to ship them soon! PM me if you are desperate to get one.

Thanks!

Dude, thanks Josh! I'm looking forward to getting one.

I plan on using it to control a 3+ = 3 switches with the custom cable...do you lose the remaining control switches if you're using 2-3 functions with custom cable?

I asked a while back on hri but it got lost in the namm stuff....can I power it with my pp2+ or does it require a different solution?

Appreciate it man,
John

Hi John,

When you plug into one of the 1/4" jacks, that switch is isolated and broken out of the DIN multi jack. So yes, you can use 3 functions with a custom cable and still access the remaining switch.

It runs on 9V AC or DC and can be powered by a PP2+.

Thanks!

I am interested in controlling my MESA Triple Rectifier and Engl Powerball at once. This is what I was told about a very similar switcher, does the voodoo work the same? If so I want to order ASAP if available.

"You can get it to work with an Amp Gizmo (not a Mini Amp Gizmo), our Rectifier interface cable and a 1/4" insert cable (stereo plug on one end, two monos on the other). The insert cable mono ends would plug into the Switch 5/6 and Switch 7/8 jacks on the Amp Gizmo and the stereo end would plug into the channel/gain switching jack on the Powerball.

This arrangement would allow you to select all three channels on the Rectifier, all four channels on the Powerball plus the solo and loop features on the Rectifier. You wouldn't be able to select masters or the open/closed style on the Powerball. If you need to control those, we'd need to look into customized solution - there are a few alternate things we could do to get more control over those functions."
