Does anyone know if the System Mix Plus units still being made or where I could find one. It's the last piece needed for my rack.

I can answer that! The System Mix Plus is no longer in production. The last units were shipped in 2003. They come up occasionally on eBay, but they're rare and prices are high.

Josh, Thanks for the info. Can I ask why these were discontinued, by all acounts they were great units. Any thoughts of bringing them back?

They were expensive to produce and being specialized, don't sell fast. When we finally ran out of materials it didn't make sense to invest in new production. When time permits, I would like to revisit the System Mix Plus. It wouldn't be the identical product, not a surprise since it was designed a decade ago! It would be a lot of fun as a "do over" to have the opportunity for a major revision.

Dear Josh! this is my first post here! (i have been reading your posts but on another forum )

I know that it is very difficult to make any sort of promise or commitment or sometimes just to share information ahead of time (especially knowing all the work you must be doing with the versa which im really waiting for along with my forumers haha and other)

But i am about to buy a system mix plus which is not cheap now that it is discontinued and thought i would try asking..

- Would an update for the system mix plus be too far ahead (still in the talk process) for me to wait before i make that purchase?
- Also will the new one (if you decide to make one!) be in par with the sonic quality of the system mix since i guess some components mustve been discontinued?

Sorry for the stupid questions... Oh and please thank your support team (i think it was harmony ellis?) in person for me; they have been such a great help and so patient with all my questions designing my rig with the GCX..

wow, i must admit, i only got the ground control and gcx yesterday, but i'm already getting my rig to where it would need to be, an save me about 3 octopus-type messes of cables on the floor.....the only problem now if integrating all these zillion signals......and i came online today to order a system mix plus i must admit i'm a little disheartened that it isn't available anymore....i'm not sure what alternatives are out there yet.....i'm not sure if a regular mixer would do what i want it to do...so add me to the list of people who would like a re-designed system mix plus!

This is probably way to far past for you guys looking for the SM+, but I have one that I'd sell at a reasonable price.

Hey guys what would work in place of a systemx plus.....any line mixers from rane?
CAE is out of my price range?
