MX-8 questions

Greetings -
I've just picked up a used MX-8. Everything works fine, and I have two questions:
1 - Is the Editor CD available for download? The unit did not come with it.
2 - How do you reset the unit to the factory settings?
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I believe there once was and editor program that was on a 3.5" disk but not only are they long gone, it likely would not work on any modern computer... you know, like one with one of them newfangled SeeDee drives.
Sorry I can't really be of any help here.
The reset I can help with.
Press both the Function and Reset buttons then power up the MX-8. There are a number of self tests that will start running. Press the button prompted by the screen, otherwise press the Function button to advance to the next test. You will see a failure message at the In Out test, this is normal as you do not have the test fixture we used here at the shop way back when we still produced these things.
Good luck!

Thanks for the quick reply John. Are there any other "hidden" functions an end user might want to muck around with?
I'd like to leave this thread open for a while in case some kind soul would like to upload or otherwise make that editor available. My music computer has an old 3.5" drive in it for just such a purpose (always nice to be able to boot a box with those old win98 floppies.)
I'd be happy to burn CDs for anyone who wanted one if I can get my hands on the program (assuming VoodooLab has no problem with that.) TIA, kind soul.
