Y Cables

Hello,

This may be a crazy question but here goes.

Does anybody using Y cables for their preamps to create a stereo setup find that some brands transfer the signal better with th GCX? Since cables cost a fortune these days I would like to know from experienced users if there is a specific brand that rules with the GCX before I spend away on cables. I'm thinking I want all the cables in the whole set up to be the same make and model if possible (maybe the Y cables will have to be diff). Do you think that sort of consistency has any benefits?

In my opinion, a good buffered signal can be split using any kind of Y-cable. In fact, I would go so far to say that cable quality is almost a non-issue with buffered signals. Just make sure your initial cable runs going into your first buffered effect (or looping device) are of good quality and not any longer than necessary. The caveat though is not to use the absolute cheapest quality cables, because their durability comes into question.
