G Major 2 and Ground Control Pro and Expression Pedals

I cannot get both expression pedals working properly.

EX1 seems to control the volume fine and is set to CC7. EX2 is on CC16 and seems to control the volume AND the effect parameter. The Tap tempo pedal is plugged into the jack on the G Major 2 and works fine.

The G Major 2 has the Global Input Level set to CC7, and M2 set to CC16....I originally had it on M1 and CC16, but that wasn't working either and both pedals were control both parameters....plus before hooking up both pedals I was using certain presets with volume and others with parameters.

For a while both pedals were showing changes on the GCP, but now that seems fixed, but it still is doing as I stated with the G Major.

Sorry for the mess of a post yesterday...it was right before band practice.

Let me clarify....

One of my pedals controls volume just fine, the other for some reason is controlling the effect parameter AND the volume.

The first place to start is to be certain that the pedals are not interacting with each other due to one or both being connected backwards into the Ground Control Pro. To do this simply recall any Ground Control Pro preset that uses the pedals, move P2 while looking at the screen for P1 to ensure that the current position numbers for P1 do not change and then, while looking at the screen for P2, move P1 around.

If the above test shows that the pedals are not interacting with each other on the Ground Control Pro then carefully check the Modifier programming on the G-Major 2 to be sure you have not assigned both Control Change numbers to the same modifier.

Wanted to update this thread for the future reference.

My pedals were in fact plugged in backwards with the ring on the output of the pedal.

Its weird how that makes one control both, but I am not an electronic engineer.
