How do I power it OFF?

I just received my new ground control pro. I looked everywhere on the unit but i didn't see a power a button. How am I supposed to power it off? or is it supposed to stat ON at all times???!! (A little ridiculous). I feel like unplugging the power cord to power it off will eventually damage the unit.
BTW, I cannot use phantom power option, so this alternative is no good.
What to do?

thanx in advance.

There is no power switch on the Ground Control Pro. Plugging and unplugging the power supply will not damage the Ground Control Pro.

What are you controlling with the Ground Control Pro? If this is controlling a rack setup, what else is in the rack? Have you seen the Rocktron 5-7 Pin MIDI cable with the phantom power option? If you are running any type of power distribution like a switched power strip or a rack power supply, the Rocktron cable will allow you to both phantom power the Ground Control Pro as well as have it power up and down with the rack. I hope that helps.

thanx.
I'm intending to control m13, gsp1101, sdd2K, gnx3, a3.
I don't understand the concept of phantom power. Some of these units claim to support phantom power, but what i don't understand yet is what unit is powering what if I so chose to phantom power something on my rig.

I've seen some guys posting, whether their statements are true or not, that one of their units was damaged because they improperly phantom powered the unit. Although they might be mistaken, I won't risk a $ 400+ investment just because somebody forgot to put a power switch on the GCP and now I'm forced to experiment with a shaky/risky phantom powering method.
Thanx to the lack of this elementray feature (power switch) now i need to spend hours of my time doing research to figure out the whole phantom power concept.

...or you could just ask... (perhaps the evil/very mad is a little over the top?) :?

Phantom Power in this case is when a device sends power over the unused pins on a MIDI In, through the MIDI cable connected to the previous unit's MIDI Out. The only device that you would phantom power in this case would be the Ground Control Pro. I do not believe that any of the devices you are using will provide phantom power via MIDI. Likely, one or two of them will phantom power a proprietary controller intended for use only with the appropriate processor. The previously mentioned Rocktron 5-7 pin MIDI cable would allow you to put the Ground Control Pro power supply in the rack so that the only cable running out to the Ground Control Pro would be the MIDI cable.

As for the power switch being a lacking feature... even if it had a power switch, incorrect connections would still cause issue once the switch was turned on. Ensuring that alternate methods of powering a device are providing acceptable voltage and the current is a must in any situation and not at all unique to the Ground Control Pro.

Good Luck!
