gcx noise & tone change help please!

Hi there, I got this problem with my setup and don't know how to solve it!

my gear is a guitar (of course) going to gcx then to a engl blackmore.

now what happens? when I plug direct to amp it gives me some noise that's normal, but if a plug it after the feed thru or the guitar in of the gcx it gets an additional noise, but when I plug it to the 1st loop and then out without passing the 2 in/out in the front panel, the noise is no more.

But, in the 2 situations when I plug the gcx between the guitar and amp it takes out a little of low end from the amp, the same low end that I like, and it seem that it takes a little gain too.

what should I do to fix this?

thanks

Try connecting your guitar to the front panel Feedthru, then run the rear panel Feedthru to the input of GCX loop 1.
If that alone does not resolve your problems, then you will have to test things by building the setup one stage at a time to find if the tonal change is a cumulative effect of the cables and connections made.

I hope that helps!

I did that and now it works just fine, I found out what was causing the noise, it was a thing I read about in the forum. just a screw that was mounted in touching the chasis of the gcx directly, I put a rubber in it and the noise was no more.

thanks john
