I'm Italian and I bought about 16 years ago your Ground Control version 1.0.
Now I have to connect it to the GCX Guitar Audio Switcher that I buy in a few days, but I don't know if this is possible without problems with such an old version I would like to hear from you kindly if it is necessary to upgrade my Ground Control to a newer version that will enable me to control the GCX optimally and if this is possible through your authorized service center in Italy.
I hope you can help me solve this problem and I ask pardon for my bad English.
A v1 software Ground Control will control any single GCX via it's presets with no problems.
It was the v2 software that introduced the ability to have Instant Access buttons to control GCX Loop status directly as well as the ability to increase the memory in order to control up to four GCX switchers.
A v1.01 or higher Ground Control can be user updated by purchasing and installing a replacement chip. (no soldering required)
A v1.00 Ground Control will have to be returned to us in order to upgrade the software.
I would like to hear from you kindly if it is necessary to upgrade my Ground Control to a newer version that will enable me to control the GCX optimally and if this is possible through your authorized service center in Italy.
