does anybody have the schematics for the tap tempo switch for use with the expression pedal jack on the gcp. I would really prefer to build my own. if some one could hit me up with those, that would be great

Anyone build a tap tempo box and is using it successfully through the expression port with their fx unit? If so, what unit are you using?

Is this a special schematic, or will an off-the-shelf Tap Tempo switch work?
Also, how does one program an Expression Jack to function with a Tap Tempo switch?

The Expression Pedal ports on the Ground Control Pro use TRS (Stereo) jacks. In order for a switch to successfully work with this setup it must be able to connect the Tip to the Ring in one state, and connect the Tip to the Sleeve in the other state. With Ground Control Pro v1.13 and lower, only a latching switch can be used. This will only work with devices that require a latching type action for MIDI control of the tempo.
If you want one of these pedals there are 3 choices... we can provide a schematic of the required switch, we can sell you a switch that we make in a small MXR sized box for $50, or you can contact the guys at
http://www.mission-engineering.com who make a switch for this purpose called the Mission TT Latching.
Programming for the the Expression Pedal ports, regardless of if it is a sweepable pedal or a latching switch, is covered in the Using Expression Pedals section of the Ground Control Pro manual under Edit Preset.
Good Luck!
