Hello
I was wondering if you could give me a
Basic guideline for incorporating a simple
Mixer with my GCX to patch in a line6
M9 and a rack mount multi-fx unit.
I am running a mono set up.
Mixer + GCX
Re: Mixer + GCX
A mixer is usually used in a guitar rig to run effects in parallel. The GCX is used to mute the input signal to the parallel device(s) when not in use. Generally, the dry signal is split up so it feeds one channel of the mixer and a separate switched line to drive each effect device. The output of each effect device runs to the remaining channel(s) on the mixer where the wet signal is then mixed with the original dry signal. Parallel effects devices need to be run 100% wet in order to prevent phasing problems. Effects like reverb and delay are perfect candidates for a parallel routing while pitch shift and tremolo would be rendered mostly useless in a parallel routing.
I hope that helps.
