Blackstar HT-5

I recently picked up a Blackstar HT-5 (2 channel head) and was just wondering how I would switch the channels with my GCX as there's only 1 footswitch input on the back of the amp. Would I need something like a Y-cable going from the head into the GCX?
Thanks

You should just be able to put a cord from the send of the loop to the channel switching jack on your HT-5. Then when you call that loop it will change channels. This should toggle it from clean to dirty and back each time you press the designated pedal.

A single, mono cable is indeed all that is needed to A/B the channels on the HT-5. You will want to be sure to set whichever GCX loop you use for this to Momentary. The HT-5 will always come up on the Clean channel when powered up so be sure to avoid being on a Ground Control Pro preset that should select the dirty channel when first powering the amp, otherwise your presets will recall the wrong channel.
p.s. Be sure to dime that bad boy... the dirty channel can really sing!

Thanks John (and wake335). One other quick question,
I pretty new to a GCX/GCP setup so i'm wondering if I can set something up in the 4 presets/bank setting like:
Preset 1 clean channel + GCX loops + G-major
Preset 2 dirty channel + GCX loops + G-major
* instant access buttons assigned to turn g-major effects on/off
if so, I would also like to create Preset 3 as my solo channel but with the Blackstar channels basically operating like a single on/off switch (and occupying the same loop), how do I carry the dirty channel over from preset 2 to preset 3 without changing the amp back to the clean channel?.
Thanks

The programmed state of the GCX loop that will control the channel switching will dictate what channel the amp will be set to for any given preset. Lets say you use GCX Loop 8 for your HT-5 channel switch... For Ground Control Pro preset 01 you will program GCX-1, Loop 8 to be off. For Ground Control Pro presets 02 and 03 you will program GCX-1, Loop 8 to be on.
For information on how to program the state of your GCX loops with Ground Control pro presets, check the Controlling the GCX Guitar Audio Switcher section of the Ground Control pro manual under Edit Preset.
I hope that helps!
