MIDI Controlling Amp

I have an Egnater Tourmaster which has an 8-pin footswitch connector and 6 functions (4 channels, fx loop, and reverb). I want to be able to control it with my GCX and GCP, but I'm going to have to make a breakout cable first. I would like to hook the Egnater up to a MIDI switcher so i can control it without having to use up my loops on my GCX. Which would be best for this - a Commander or a couple Control Switchers?

A pair of Control Switchers would be the best choice for keeping your GCX loops for audio switching duties. Since you have a Ground Control Pro, there will be no need for a Commander in this setup. The Control Switchers will each take the place of 1/2 of a GCX when used with the Ground Control Pro. If you enabled GCX-2 in your Ground Control Pro, and had the Control Switchers at the end of the MIDI path, they would automatically respond as the first and second set of loops of GCX-2.
I hope that helps!
