I
I want to add a Marshall 6100 to my rig.
I already have 2 GCX, 1 Ground control pro and 2 Control switcher (to control my mesa amp)
I read that the Marshall 6100 can only be controlled via the channel 1.
Is there any issiue with the current setup I have ?
Is the Ground Control Pro will be able to communicate with the 2 GCX and Control Switcher without confusion ?
Is anybody got problem to control the Marshall 6100 channel switching via MIDI port ?
thanks

It should be no problem to add the Marshall 6100 as a MIDI Device. Look to the Device Name/Channel section of the Ground Control Pro manual under Setup Mode for instructions on how to get started. The Ground Control Pro can control your rig with room for another GCX and seven more MIDI devices.
I hope that helps!

Hi John
I got a problem, I bought the Marshall head yesterday and I did some tests.
With theses Midi chains it doesn't work :
GCP-->GCX-1-->GCX-2-->Control Switcher-1-->Control Switcher-2-->Marshall
GCP-->GCX-1-->GCX-2-->Control Switcher-1-->Marshall
GCP-->GCX-1-->GCX-2-->Control Switcher-2-->Marshall
I can't communicate with the Marshall, however all the other components work
If I remove the 2 control switcher It works :
GCP-->GCX-1-->GCX-2-->Marshall
My marshall amp doesn't have Midi thru output so I can reconnect the control switcher after it.
I also tried some other midi device, like a JMP-1 and I have the same problem, I can connect other midi devices after the control switcher.
Is there a setting or something wrong with the control switcher ?
thanks

As a test, try running the Ground Control Pro MIDI Out to the MIDI In of a Control Switcher, then run the MIDI Out of the Control Switcher to the MIDI In of the Marshall.
The Ground Control Pro will default to using MIDI channel 16 for all the switchers. What MIDI channel are you using to control the Marshall?

The Marshall 30th anniversary can only be controlled by the channel 1

If the above test does not work, be sure you have the Control Switcher set to a different channel than the Marshall if you have enabled Program Changes within the Control Switcher.
