HELP! GCX-GROUNDCONTROL with ENGL POWERBALL

I have just recently purchased the GCX audio switcher and the Ground Control Pro. I started the initial set up process, including adding a few pedals into the GCX and getting the GC to read them.
My set up so far connected after feed through and in/out of my guitar is ..
01.KEELEY 4 KNOB COMPRESSOR
02.ISP DECIMATOR
03.IBANEZ TS9 TUBE SCREAMER
04.BOSS NS2
Those are the one's I have currently running successfully
However I cannot get my Delay pedal to work at all in my effects loop through the GCX system or even used as one of the actual loops on the GCX.
Unfortunately I am also having issues with channel switching. I have heard of using a "Y Cable" type for use but it was never fully explained what exactly kind of cable I would need. Each cable i've encountered has different functions so I need full elaberation on how to get my GCX and Ground Control to work together to change my amp channels. It would help so much!!!
excuse my ignorance but this is definitely my first Voodoo set up and want the best use for it on stage
thanks to who ever will help!!

Does the delay pedal function correctly when connected directly to the amplifiers effects loop?
The cable you need for the channel and function switching is known as an Insert Cable. To control the four switching functions on the Engl Powerball you will need two of these cables and four free GCX loops.
I hope this helps!

Yes it does 100% work when inserted into the loop. And would you happen to know a brand that I should use for the "Insert Cables"?? and also how would I loop those?
Thanks man!

Delay pedal problem:
If that works then the next thing to do would be to connect the Effect Send to the In of a GCX loop, and connect the Out of this GCX Loop to the Effect Return. Connect the Send of this GCX Loop to the In of the delay pedal and connect the Out of the delay pedal to the Return of this GCX Loop. When the GCX Loop is on you should hear your delay.
Insert Cable:
I don't have a brand that you should use, but many cable companies do make this type of cable. Just about any music store with a pro audio section will carry this cable, likely in a few different form factors.
The Stereo end of the Insert cable will connect to the footswitch jack on your amp. Each mono end will connect to an Out/N.O. jack on the GCX loops used for these functions.
Good Luck!

I forgot to mention... be sure the GCX Loop you are using for the delay is not set to Momentary.
Good Luck!

The delay problem is fixed! but unfortunately now my Tube screamer won't work. This seems to be happening with loop 3 constantly... also on the insert cables one end says tip and the other says ring. Which end goes into send and receive? also do I just continue my loops from the in and out put of my channel settings? meaning, does each channel loop have to have my guitar signal? or do I just not use the in and out of each loop and only use send and receive? thanks again!

What is happening with Loop 3? Does the status LED on the GCX turn on an off for Loop 3?
The Insert Cables are not passing any audio, they are only being used for the amp channel and function switching. The TRS end will connect to the amp and the mono ends will connect to the Out/N.O. jacks of the GCX Loops you will use to control the amp Channels and functions. No other jacks on these GCX loops will be used. The manual for the Powerball tells you what function is switched on the Tip (Mono Terminal) and Ring (Stereo Terminal) of each of the 1/4" TRS footswitch jacks.
