DMC GCP + DMC GCX + Pedal Switcher Power and midi ?

I finally picked up a Pedal Switcher for a few effects that I want to run BEFORE my Wah like a couple of FUZZ pedals and a tuner.
All other pedals etc. are controlled by GCX in a rack and go before an old trusty non master volume Marshall's input.
A) How to POWER both the GCP and the pedal switcher out front?
Right now my DMC GCP is going to the Pedal IN jack on the DMC GCX and is being phantom powered that way. Can I phantom power both from the GCX feed?
Additionally, I have a Pedal Plus 2 on the small board that will house the wah, fuzzes, a tuner and the pedal switcher.
B) Midi signal chain
Currently it's GCP > GCX > Line 6 M9
What connects to what now given that the pedal switcher will be out front with the GCP?
I remember reading that a pedal switcher now becomes the GCX-1 in the programming hierarchy.

The order that the switchers are connected to the Ground Control Pro will dictate what number "GCX" they will respond as. If you run the MIDI connections as Ground Control Pro -> Pedal Switcher -> GCX then the Pedal Switcher will respond as GCX-1 (Loops 1-4) and the GCX will respond as GCX-2.
The Pedal Switcher does not accept Phantom Power. But, because you have power out on the floor anyway, this can be easily solved by powering the Pedal Switcher using the supplied adapter, and having the Pedal Switcher phantom power the Ground Control Pro.
Will the M9 be out on the floor also or does it stay in the rack?

Yes the M9 stays back in the rack with ODs, boost and other modulation and time based pedals.
Just trying to keep the FUZZes before the wah plus one or two other pedals that I like to alter as im playing so they need to be out front.
So if I have this right...
POWER
1) use AC adapter to power the Pedal Switcher (do not use PP2+).
2) I can phantom power the DMC GCP from the midi out of the Pedal Switcher using a 5 pin active midi cable.
MIDI
Pedal Switcher Midi out (5 pin active cable) to GCP midi in
GCP midi OUT to GCX Pedal IN ( does it matter if i am using a 5 pin active cable here or should i replace it with 3 pin active?)
GCX midi OUT to M9 midi IN
the patches I currently have programmed as GCX-1 will now need to be moved to GCX-2 and where needed incorporate new GCX-1(Pedal Switcher loops) provisioning.

Your MIDI connections will be as follows:
1. MIDI Out of the Ground Control Pro to the MIDI In on the Pedal Switcher. (5-Pin Active cable required here. Pedal Switcher will be seen as GCX-1, Loops 1-4)
2. MIDI Out of the Pedal Switcher to the Pedal In of the GCX. (Any MIDI cable will work here. The GCX will be seen as GCX-2)
3. MIDI Out of the GCX to MIDI In on the M9. (Any MIDI cable will work here.)
The Pedal Switcher will phantom power the Ground Control Pro and will have to be powered using the supplied Pedal Switcher power supply.
