I have a question and could use some expert opinion. I have tried to work this on the worksheets but I think my knowledge is limited as I have never tried this before. My main objective is to run two stereo delay units in parallel rather than in a series. I have two GCX switchers running everything. The 2nd switcher has the 4 channels of stereo which is where my delays run right now. Here is my signal path--everything is just basically daisy chained:



Guitar>GCX 1 and 2 (Effects)>Stereo Volume Pedal>Vox Amp Left and Vox Amp Right

Loop One--Digitech Whammy
Loop Two--Korg A3
Loop Three--Boss Compressor
Loop Four--Tube Screamer
Loop Five--Boss Multi Distortion Pedal
Loop Six--Big Muff
Loop Seven--Sansamp PS 1.1
Loop Eight--Empty

GCX Two
Loop One--Digitech 2120 Left Channel
Loop Two--Digitech 2120 Right Channel
Loop Three--Prophesy II Left Channel
Loop Four--Prophesy II Right Channel
Loop Five (stereo)--Line 6 Delay
Loop Six (Stereo)--TC Electronics Delay
Loop Seven (Stereo) TC Electronics G Major
Loop Eight (Stereo) Boss Reverb Pedal

The two delays that I want to run parrallel are the Line 6 Delay and The TC Electronics Delay. I would like to keep the stereo set up. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You would need a mixer in order to run the delays in parallel.

Basically, the mono signal from GCX #2 Loop 4 would get split three ways. The three splits would run to the mixer, GCX #2 Loop 5, and GCX #2 Loop 6. The Send jacks of GCX #2 Loops 5 and 6 would run to your two delay units respectively. The stereo outputs of the two delay units would each run to the mixer. The stereo outputs of the mixer would run to the input of GCX #2 Loop 7.

Because the input feed to the delays does not necessarily have to be stereo, you could move some things around so that your series stereo devices are on the stereo loops. But this depends on if you are using any of the effects in the 2120 and the Prophesy or if they are just used as preamps.

The specifics of how the split is accomplished and the exact connections would completely depend on the mixer used. There are a number of companies that are currently producing parallel effects mixers that are specific to guitar rigs. I've not personally used any of the currently made parallel effects mixers so I cannot necessarily recommend any specific brands.
