Manual says about... one Ground Control can control two GCX Switcher... but I got two Ground Control...

I just want to control the two GCX with two Ground Control.

RACK --> GCX - GCX (16 Loops)

GROUND --> GC - GC (one big midi pedal controller)

Thanks.

You can connect the MIDI Out of the first Ground Control Pro to the MIDI In of the second Ground Control Pro. Then connect the MIDI Out of the second Ground Control Pro to the Pedal In of the first GCX. Then connect the MIDI Out of the first GCX to the Pedal In of the second GCX.

If you enable the Link modes, set the first Ground Control Pro as the Master and the second Ground Control Pro as the Slave.

I hope that helps!

Hi,

I tried as you told me, John ... one Ground Control Pro is on but the second Ground Control Pro does not turn on.

Just turn on the Ground Control Pro that goes directly to the GCX Switcher... second GC Pro is off.

The second Ground Control Pro have a power suplly and the unit is off.

Thanks.

Yes, when running two Ground Control Pro units together like this only the second one will receive phantom power, the first one must be powered using the supplied adapter.

John, I did as you tell me...

Image

but...

the GC 1 is off and it has external supply.

I don´t know about conection of 2 Ground Control Pro.

Ground Control Pro 1 is 1.13 version and second is 1.11 version.

GCX Switcher led Active works when you change a program as both GCX is conected well.
Only loops led works in GCX 1, it is directly connected to the GC 2.
GCX 2 loops led don´t work becouse the GC 1 is off.

I hope you can help me, if not I hope you can tell me how to configure the two GCX with one GC.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

Both Ground Control Pro work well alone, the problem is to combine the two units, both work together.

Thanks.

For the power problem: Are you sure the Power Supply is working? Does it power the Ground Control Pro when no MIDI cables are connected? Have you tried a different MIDI cable out of the first Ground Control Pro?

For the GCXs: A single Ground Control Pro can control up to 4 GCX switchers. Have you enabled GCX #2 within Setup Mode on the Ground Control?

1. Press both Setup buttons at the same time.
2. Press the Expanders button.
3. Make sure GCX-1 is On. (The Yes and No buttons change this)
4. Press the Bank Down button.
5. Make sure GCX-2 is On. (The Yes and No buttons change this)
6. Press either Setup button, then press the Yes button to exit Setup Mode.

Let us know if that helps.
