My GCX Switcher is dead...

My GCX Switcher is dead.

Since I cannot hear a buzz in the power supply, I think the power supply may be dead. Is there way I can test it with my multi-meter? Anyone know the pinout?

Any other ideas would be really appreciated!

Thanks!
Chris

Great thread title! If you turn the GCX on do any of the lights come on at all?

If you look into the end of the 4 Pin DIN connector, with the dimple at the top, the two pins on the left are one side of the AC and the two pins on the right are the other side of the AC. You should measure somewhere around 11.5VAC with no load. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the reply!
There are no lights... nothing...
I'll check the VAC and get back to you in an hour or so.
Thanks!

Ok, I measured the wall-wart output voltage - 0 volts.
So it would seem the wall-wart is dead, would you agree?
Anything else I should check before I order a new PS?

Thanks!
Chris

It was the power supply. I was able to pick up one locally and I'm up and running! :P
