Ground Control MIDI Foot Controller

Post by somebodyelseuk »

Hi. I've been using the Ground Control (not the Pro) since 1998. Other than programming my patches, it's exactly as it left the factory.
My questions -
Is it possible to back it up as you would do with other MIDI devices?
The internal battery must be due for changing by now. Is it the usual 2032 type, will I lose my settings and is it an easy job (ie. is it soldered to the board or held in place with a spring clip?)?

Many thanks

There is not a way to backup the memory on the original Ground Control.
The memory used in both the original Ground Control and the Ground Control Pro does not require a battery so at least you don't have to worry about that part!

Thanks for the reply.

I was only concerned about losing settings if I had to renew a battery.

Thanks
