I got an a Roland Gp-8 and 7 pedals. I would like to use My gp8 to controll the gcx via midi. Is it possible?
Would i just connect a midi cable fr.o.m. The gp8 to the gcx?
Since i allready got a footcontroller for the gp8 it would be great.
Then it could controll everything for me.

Tuf,
That's not going to work. A GCX does not store patches like your GP8 does. So sending a program change, which is what your foot controller that works with the GP8 will do, is not happening.
The loops of a GCX are turned on by a Control Change MIDI message, not a Program Change. Sorry. That's a pretty old product by now, if you still have the manual, maybe you find out if it can send a CC MIDI message. But, having used one many years ago, I don't recall it ever having that feature.

The GCX will respond to control Change messages 80-87 on MIDI channel 16.
