ground control with g major

I'm new to the forum and midi. I am completely lost setting up my g major the way i want to. I am used to the ground control, but want to know how to properly set up my g major with it. My goal is to set the presets I have created to the 8 instant access buttons. I am using the 4 preset bank, and want to control my g major similarly to how the ground control controls the gcx switcher. I have individual settings and want my setup to look something like this:
instant access:
1. reverb
2. chorus
3. flanger
4. phaser
5. delay 1
6. delay 2
7. eq
8. noise gate
i then want to combine those to my liking in the four presets, similarly to how the gcx workds with ground control. is this possible? and if so, how? I am very inexperienced with multi effect processors and midi. any help would be great. thank you so much!

i have already set up the two to work together, however the 4 bottom buttons only control the first four controls of the factory presets, and I am not sure how to change that. also, for the ground control, should i set the g major to start at "0" or "1"?

i managed to set up the following:
1. reverb
2. chorus
4. phaser
5. delay
7. eq
8. noise gate
if anyone could advise me on how to set up 3 to be flanger and 6 to be my second delay, and to have my personalized user effects i have created to be the settings that turn on, i would really appreciate it. thanks

Programming buttons 3 and 6 should be the same as programming for the other Instant Access buttons. What do you have these buttons programmed to send?
If you set each Instant Access button to send a unique Control Change message you will then be able to go to the G-Major MOD menu and set the desired effect to respond to a specific Instant Access button by using the G-Major's Learn function. Refer to page 22-23 of the G-Major menu for specifics on how to do this.
To get the Ground Control Pro to call up presets in the user bank you will need to go into the MIDI/Utility menu on the G-Major and set the Program Bank to User.

thanks for the help! when i go into the mod menu tho, the chorus/flanger effects are under one block, i dont know how to assign multiple cc's to the same block. also what can i do in the ground control so the effects being used on the preset show up (similar to how to gcx loops are shown active)?

I do not think you can split the Chorus and Flanger as they are one block. I can't even remember if you can use Chorus and Flange at the same time in a patch. My G-Major is not here at the shop so I'll have to experiment tonight at home, but I am fairly sure you will have to use one button for this.
Edit: Chorus and Flange are in one block and cannot be separated or even used at the same time.

also, for those that didn't find this elsewhere on this forum... I will Quote James, who was quoting me...
To make the instant access button status match with effects that are active on a given preset:
1. Call up the Ground Control Pro preset that you want to edit.
2. Press any of the Instant Access buttons that should be on for this preset.
3. Press and hold the EDIT button.
4. Once the Ground Control Pro screen changes, press the EDIT button again.
5. Press the YES button to save the changes.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each Ground Control Pro preset that has active effects.

hey dude, unfortunately you cant use seperate chorus and flange blocks like this, not even with the g-force. this is about the only major set back with these units, you will also find that set up for instant access you will only be able to use one delay too. the way the effect blocks work in the tc gear is quite limiting in this regard, bummer.

so ive programmed my ground control, and lights 1-8 light up when i change between settings, but the effect block lights dont come up on the g major when i switch between presets 1-4 on my ground control. the instant access buttons work tho and are properly set up. whats wrong?
