GCX, GCP, Two Amps, Effects Loops, One Gmajor-II Stereo

Hi,

I am looking to setup a stereo rig and was wondering if is it possible to connect two amps and the GM2 and run everything in stereo while everything is connected to the GCX. Or would I need a GCX modified to stereo to accomplish this? Or would it just be better to not have the GM2 in the GCX at all?

While a stereo GCX would be nice, you can easily do this with a standard one. You'll just be using two loops instead of one. Working under the premise that you always want to run both amps simultaneously and not switch between them, I'd make the following connections:

Amp 1 FX Send -> Loop 1 In; Loop 1 Send -> GM2 Left In; GM2 Left Out -> Loop 1 Return; Loop 1 Out -> Amp 1 FX Return

Amp 2 FX Send -> Loop 2 In; Loop 2 Send -> GM2 Right In; GM2 Right Out -> Loop 2 Return; Loop 1 Out -> Amp 2 FX Return

Now configure your GCPro so that when you activate Loop 1, Loop 2 is also active, and when you deactivate Loop 1 Loop 2 will turn off as well. This will control the signal feed to both channels of the GM2, giving you stereo effects, or a dry signal if you deactivate the loops.

Hope this helps...

That works perfect! Thanks for clearing that up.
