Hi everybody I'm a total new bee this is my first try at rack and midi so please be kind.
I have a 2010 3 channel mesa dual rec and I'm running 2 rack wahs, a bbe 428i sonic maximiser, and i have literary yesterday received my tc electronics g major 2 and controlling this is the mighty GCP \m/
I have a few issues
1) i can't seem to figure out how to change channels on the head????
2) the wah's will not work i thought being rack i wouldn't have to program the GCP???
3) HOW DO I TURN OFF THE G MAJOR 2 and just get my clean channel back? i can't find anything in the tc manual about it??

I hope somebody can help i will endeavour to sole this myself and will keep you posted with the issues PLESAE HELP

Welcome to the forum.

1)You will need either a Control Switcher, or GCX.
Channel switching will be done using the 1/4" External Trigger Jacks on the Dual Recto. Refer to your Recto Owners Manual on using the External Triggers.

2)What kind of Rack Wah are we talking about? Is it MIDI capable? Are you trying to control them via expression pedals connected to the GCP? Do the Rack Wahs' manuals explain MIDI control?

3)You need to set up a modifier in the G-Major 2 MOD menu to control bypass. See the MOD Menu section in the G-Maj's manual starting on pg.19.

Read the manuals for items 1 & 3, and post more Q's if you still have them.

Thanks so much i will try that with the g major 2.
I have 2 GCXs on the way so i can just change channels with them when they get here.
Sorry the rack wah are crybabys dunlop custom shop and they are not midi i just wanted to use them as regular wah's. They are just running in my effects loop signal path thru my amp. They are not connected to the GCP at all? I will test the power supply before i fire it up again.

Thanks so much Dom your a life saver i will keep you posted \m/
:P cool gear by the way

No prob & thanks. I also have the Dunlop DCR-2SR Rack Wah. I have mine between loop 1 (comp) & loop 2 (BB Pre) of my GCX, into the front end of my Roadster. I use a control switcher for the amp channels & my G-Maj's switching relays for FX Loop & Solo. You can see the rig here (Aug 2011) http://www.voodoolab.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2996

Good Luck, be sure to post back how you make out.

Dom

Hay Dom,

Just wanted to say awesome rig it looks so amazing i can't wait till mine looks that cool \m/ You don't happen to live in Australia by any chance?

After an intense day of trying to sort out the external bypass I'm quite confused but i just looked on you tube and i think i have a better idea now...kind of..... i think. I will keep you up to date with it hopefully i get it sorted tomorrow.

I got the rack wah sorted it was the power supply so that is up and running now and i have a voodoo lab ac power supply on the way to get it running for good.

Thanks again Beth
