Do the Instant Access Buttons send MIDI data?

If so, can they be assign specific MIDI controller values?

I have a situation where I have to use Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 for a show.

I would like to program the GCP Instant Access Buttons to activate a specific Guitar Rig 5 effect/stomp box.

So the GCP will not be connected to my GCX switchers. I will be used only to send midi data to Guitar Rig 5.

The Instant Access buttons can in fact be programmed to send MIDI Control Change messages on the MIDI channel of your choice. Check the Instant Access section for MIDI Continuous Controller On/Off under Setup Mode for specific programming information.
