Amp switching with eleven rack
I would like to set up a rig that allows me to control not only my eleven rack Patches but also switch between amp channels and even two different amp heads. Can I set up a midi floor pedal that will change amp channels and eleven rack presets with the press of one button? I would also be interested in adding an amp switcher to the rig as well, again the idea being that one button would change amps along with eleven rack patches. Very new to midi setups, so any help would be appreciated, looking to avoid the tap dancing during live gigs.
Re: Amp switching with eleven rack
A Ground Control Pro with a GCX will allow you to control your Eleven Rack and switch between your amps in any manner you desire. The GCX or the Control Switcher will even likely control the foot switchable options on your amps... if only we knew what these amps were

Re: Amp switching with eleven rack
I am using a Mesa triple rec and a line 6 Hd100 bogner for the cleans, so channel switching on the line 6 amp is not as important. Would the GCX allow me to switch between both amps while using one can or would I need a cab for each head?
I am assuming that the ground control pro could be configured so that the press of one button would switch amps/11R effects/amp channel of choice?
Thanks! Looking to build a more efficient live rig, just want to make sure what I purchase will do what I'm wanting it too.

Hey Fury,
Besides that you're assumption is correct: You can switch anything midi and up to 8 effects loops with traditional stompboxes. I'm gonna get another GCX when i buy my 9th effect and have up to 16. I sacrifice one loop with the channel switcher on my '87 jubilee, as its not MIDI.
My life is so much better with my Voodoo Labs gear - I play and practice 20 times more often. Awesome.
The GCP & GCX are awesome. Just beware i've seen elsewhere on this extremely informative forum that you can't run AMP --> GCX --> Speaker as the load will melt the contacts and damage the switcher: its not for speakers - so you will need to have speaker cabs for each head AFAIK.Would the GCX allow me to switch between both amps while using one can or would I need a cab for each head?
