I have a Fractal Audio Axe FxII that I use my Ground Control Pro to control. I use it in the 4 preset per bank so I can make use of the 8 cc's. I am upgrading my pedalboard to a Mission Engeneering expression pedal so I can shed my whammy & wah & not have to run instrument cables to & from my pedalboard.
The problem I am running into is that I will need 2 more switches, 1 to select weather my Axe Fx's internal signal goes to the whammy or wah block & 1 to turn on/off a mute function in the Axe II. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I can do? I know there is a MIDI in jack on the GAP as well as 2 expression pedal jacks.
Thanks for your help
need to add more control to my GCP/Axe FxII rig.
Re: need to add more control to my GCP/Axe FxII rig.
If I understand you correctly, you are removing the existing Whammy and Wah pedals from your pedal board and replacing them with a single Mission Engineering expression pedal which, I suspect, will control whammy and wah functions within your Axe FX II via MIDI so as to eliminate the instrument cables previously needed by the original two pedals. This new pedal would connect to one of the expression pedal jacks on your GCPro (GAP..?). The MIDI In jack is only used when one wants to control a GCPro from a different MIDI controller.stm113 wrote:I have a Fractal Audio Axe FxII that I use my Ground Control Pro to control. My questions are, 1) How are you currently activating/deactivating the mute function; 2) Could you not route your signal to the Whammy or Wah block via the selected AXE preset; and, 3) what are you currently using your 8 IA buttons for?
