Just purchased a POD 2.0 and before I start the process of connecting everything together I want to ask the VL community if anyone can sugguest the best way to connect or examples of how they connect the POD 2.0 with Voodoo Labs ground control pro and GCX audio switcher? I see in the manuals that POD is a great companion and thought I would check with everyone....
Much appreciated.

Re: GCP/GCX/POD 2.0
What other gear do you plan to use with this setup and what are your goals for the rig? Are you planning to phantom power the GCP from the GCX?raiello wrote:Just purchased a POD 2.0 and before I start the process of connecting everything together I want to ask the VL community if anyone can sugguest the best way to connect or examples of how they connect the POD 2.0 with Voodoo Labs ground control pro and GCX audio switcher? With the limited info you give all I can tell you is to use MIDI cables to connect everything.

Re: GCP/GCX/POD 2.0
Thanks Dom, yes the gcx powers the gcp and I have channels and loops set up per VL manuals. I also use a Fender EVH AMP with a prorack g in the fx loop. Simple setup, but wanted to place the POD in the chain and was not sure if I should configure it through the GCP (special) and assign a channel/IA buttons or to put it in front of the EVH, etc...the manual for the POD is great, so I figured other uses might have sugguestions.
Thanks,
Rich

Re: GCP/GCX/POD 2.0
Where you place the POD (in front or in the loop) really depends on what YOU want from the POD. Either way if you plan to bypass the POD's effects while playing then put it in a GCX loop.
If you are phantom powering the GCP then connect the GCP MIDI OUT to the GCX MIDI (pedal) IN, then connect the CGX MIDI OUT to the POD MIDI IN.
As far as using IA buttons to control the POD, again this depends on what you want from the rig as well as what kind of control info the POD will support.

Thanks Dom, I will work on it this weekend.
