Do I connect my Timeline at the end of my GCX chain? Do I connect the Midi from the GCX midi out to the Timeline midi in? When assigning one of the Timeline presets in my Ground Control, how do set it up so that they "talk"? I have 3 GCX units.

Assuming you are not using any other MIDI devices, you'll want to connect the MIDI Out of the last GCX in your GCX chain to the Timeline MIDI In.
Designate the Timeline as Device 4 on your GCPro and configure Device 4 on the GCPro to use the same MIDI channel as the Timeline.
Edit your existing GCPro presets to include Device 4 and edit Device 4 within each GCPro preset to call up the desired Timeline preset when you change presets on the GCPro.

Just to clarify here, the GCX's do not need to be named as MIDI devices. GCX's are enabled separately under the Expanders section of Setup Mode.
I hope that helps!

Under setup, do I need to change Midi setting i.e. master, slave, etc or "add" this device through setup? It's been two years since I set up my rig, and I've totally forgotten all the neat little shortcuts and hangups that used to help me setting it up.

Add it as a device.

Thanks John! Do I place the timeline in one of the GCX loops like my other stompboxes? Just thought of that

You can put it wherever you want in your signal chain, wherever it sounds best to you, but if you happen to have a loop available you may want to put it in there to facilitate switching it in and out of the signal chain.
