Amp channel switching via GCX

Hi all.
I don't own a GCX but will be purchasing one soon.
Before buying I want to run through a few things to make sure it operates the way I require.
I anticipate I'll only have one loop to perform channel switching on my amp.

This is fine, cause I only need to change between clean and distortion.
I don't need my distortion boost.

The amp (Krank Revolution) has only one F/S input. The footswitch has a channel button (distortion or clean), and a master button (distortion 1 or distortion 2).

How would I set this up, to make sure I only change between clean and distortion, without worrying I'll go to change to my clean sound only to engage the distortion boost instead?

Cheers!

Is the plug on your footswitch a stereo 1/4", like you'd see on a home stereo pair of headphones?

Hey mate
I think it's a TRS connector but to be honest I'm not sure.
Voodoo lab reckons it'd be TRS but I'm waiting for Krank to reply to my email..

Is there a difference in it's functionality if it's TRS/sterio?
I cant even tell the difference in their appearance! hahaha

Cheers!

Stereo or TRS Image

Mono Image

A TRS will let you switch two functions, like with your amp. The tip will be for one function, the ring will be the other one, and the sleeve will be the common connection for both (Tip Ring Sleeve = TRS).
