Is there any reason why my older Digital Music Corp GCX would not work with my brand new Voodoo Lab GCX if controlled by my Ground Control Pro? I'm having an issue setting it up.
Thanks for any insight.

Other than connecting the MIDI out from one GCX to the Pedal/MIDI In of the second GCX, there is no other connection between the two. If one of your units is not working properly, I suspect the problem lies with how you have them set up in your GCPro.
I'd suggest reviewing the information for setting up multiple MIDI devices, starting on Page 6 of the GCPro manual.

If the old one is really old then it may need a firmware udate.
When you first power up a GCX the LEDS scroll from one side to the other. The direction they scroll indicates the firmware version.
Version 1 units will scroll from Left to Right.
Version 2 units will scroll from Right to Left.
Only GCX units with version 2 firmware will work correctly in a multi GCX setup. A version 1 GCX can be updated to version 2 with a new EPROM chip. Feel free to give us a call or write to
info@voodoolab.com for current price and availability.
I hope that helps!
