I just got a GCP and I'm looking to get a looper to control my pedals. I want the Hex but is there a release date yet? Has anyone tried the RJM effects gizmo with the GCP, and what is your opinion of it?

Any particular reason you're not interested in a GCX?

Apparently any mention of the HEX and it's actual availability causes Mr. Clark to shut down.
Last they said was August, no mention since that came & went.
Seems a little rude to devote a page on the website to a product, but not let folks know when it will actually exist in the real world.

A lot of companies do this, its not just Voodoo Lab. I am sure they have every intention to release it when it is ready to be released. Give them a break.
For what they offer and at the price point they offer makes them one of the best companies out there doing what they do. I love this company not only for the products they offer and the ease of use, but also for the customer support they have and offer.
Heck look at the Suhr Hedge hog amplifier, it debuted at NAMM back in 2008 or 2009 and it still not out yet. And I absolutely love Suhr products.
Look at Bogner and some of their stuff, announced way before the actual release date.
Radial announced their attenuator with the built in Amp simulator and reamp system built into it about 8 months before I saw it available on a web store like sweet water and its still a pre order item.

All true, including your thoughts on the outstanding qualities of Voodoo Lab products & service (my board is loaded with their stuff).
Still rude though.

I hate not having a real answer
...that is what keeps me away from these threads.
With that said, I have no real answer other than soon...
like real soon...
