Confused about Instant Access switches!

Hi all,
i dont own GCX or GCP but hope to have them before the end of the year.

Is it possible to set up the GCP instant access switches to maybe something like this:

I.A. switch 1: program 001 on whammy channel (shallow detune)
I.A. switch 2: program 002 on whammy channel (deep detune)
I.A. switch 3: program 003 on whammy channel (2 octaves up)
I.A. switch 4: program 001 on IPS-33B channel
I.A. switch 5: program 002 on IPS-33B
etc..

i thought it was possible but some recent reading has made me doubtful -- the i.a. switches can only send CC# messages not program changes, correct?

You cannot control the Whammy patches with the Instant Access buttons. the Whammy only responds to Program Change messages so it will need to be controlled with Ground Control Pro presets. This is usually better anyway because you can then have the Ground Control Pro display show the current setting of the Whammy.
