HELP ON CONNECTING AND WIRING UP MY RACK

Post by mmiles4u »

How to connect everything?

So I'm thinking you have a good grasp of connecting things...

I have a pile of stuff I am trying to connect now and am not sure how to go about it for maximum use and get it up and running.

I have a Bogner XTC, 2 GCX's an ISP decimator and now a Line 6 M13 as well as a few stompboxes in my rack and now I'm so confused how to go about wiring it all up...

ANY ADVICE OR HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Exact connections all depend on what you actually want to do with your "pile of stuff". There are some sample diagrams here http://voodoolab.com/gcx.htm that show various ways to connect things. In the first example http://voodoolab.com/gcxdiagrams/01-Ped ... _AmpSw.pdf you see some effects routed in front of the amp and some routed through the effects loop, while the remaining GCX loops control the amp channels. This will likely be similar to your setup except that you will use more loops for the amp channel/functions.

Hi. I have the same problem... I'm currently running a digi delay, chorus and eq through 3 GCX loops in the back of the amp and I'm just wondering where/ how to set up my noise gate... My amp hums really bad now that it's cranked (thanks to the power attenuator) so i'm basically wondering how to set it up after my head, to get rid of the noise.
