GCX & Amp Channel Switching Help

Post by Yomko »

I was wondering how to use amp channel switching with my Marshall Mode Four Head and the GCX/Ground Control?

The Mode4 doesn't have Midi or separate channel outputs so how can I set-up channel switching?

Is this possible with my amp?

I appreciate any help and hopefully this makes sense.

The Mode Four uses a 15 pin connector for the footswitch. You will need a cable made that mates with the 15 pin connector and breaks out to multiple 1/4" mono ends. There will be one 1/4" end for each switchable function. Marshall should be able to provide the pin out to whoever you have make the cable for you.

Hi. I have the same issue. Who could make a break-out cable of this sort. Is there any solution you can just buy to control the mode4 with the GCX.

Thanks!
