I would like use the insert point between loops 6 and 7 to place my time-based effects in Loop 7 & Loop 8 in the FX loop of my amp ... would I be able to do that??

The PX-8 Plus will have the same loops and jack layout. The main change is that it will have more presets... 9 Banks of four presets each.

We are working furiously to get these built up now.

I guess what I meant to say is will the insert point split the loops into 4 & 4 rather than 6 & 2 as it is today...

PX-8 Plus has the same audio path as PX-8... the Insert will still be between Loops 6 and 7.

How many effects will you run in front of your amp? How many more effects do you want to put into your Effects Loop? We may have some other tricks up our sleeve to do what you ultimately want here.

3 - 4 in front and 4 - 5 in the FX Loop

Are you doing presets or just individual pedals?

Running a pair of our 4-loop Pedal Switchers might be a better route for this setup... with a Commander if you wanted presets.
Or you could add a HEX to an existing PX-8 if you wanted to add more pedals.
