Passive pedal with no effect.
I have the GCP and GCX and love it. One problem though. I bought a passive volume pedal, correctly hooked it up with my GCP, enabled the pedal in the set up mode on the GCP through pedal 1 and nothing happens when I use the volume pedal. Am I missing something? If so what could the problem be?
Re: Passive pedal with no effect.
You are missing the next step where in each Ground Control Pro preset you assign which MIDI device and parameter on that MIDI device you want the expression pedal to control. This is detailed in the Using Expression Pedals section of the Ground Control Pro manual under Edit Preset.

Re: Passive pedal with no effect.
Thanks John. I will give it another whirl. I have my GCX controling an EVH 5150, a Egnater Rebel 20, a Boss DD6, an EVH phase 90, a Boss Metal Zone, a Boss Tuner and a Lexicon MX 200 run through both the 5150 on the left chanel and the Rebel 20 on the right. I guess the parameters of the volume pedel will be controled through the Lexicon. Wish me luck as I'm new to all this but am coming down with a serious case of GAS. Gear Acquisition Syndrome.

Re: Passive pedal with no effect.
I tried going into the parameters on the GCP setup for the volume pedal. I can see that the digits change when I move the pedal on the GCP screen. I ran the settings through all of the CTRL settings and none of them seem to control the volume. I did get some flanger sweeps so I know the pedal is working. I think that I may not have a "volume" parameter for my Lexcison MX200. No bigie really, I just use the volume pedal as normal with two cables, one in and one out into the GCX.
