GCX Buffer and Fuzz...

Hey guys!

My setup is as follows:

Guitar>Wah>GCX Buffered input>Loops 1-8>amp.

That means there are 2 cables and a pedal before I even hit the buffer of the GCX. For kicks, I used the unbuffered input and there is a HUGE difference in tone with and without buffer. I like buffer much more.

Here's my problem. I want to add a tuner before my wah and a fuzz pedal to the GCX. How do you guys run your fuzzes (Specifically FuzzFace type) with the GCX? I've heard a fuzz with a buffer before and it doesn't sound very pretty. I guess I can put the Fuzz in loop 1 and bypass the buffer just for the first loop...but then there will be a bunch of cables going from the back of the GCX to the front and I will have a loaded signal until loop 2 which doesn't sound very well with just the wah (let alone a cable, tuner, patch cable, wah, another cable, fuzz...etc).

What should I do?? Are there any workarounds to get the fuzz working with the buffer?? What if I installed the FOxRox wah retrofit at the input of the fuzz?? Will that fix it? It seems like its just another buffer in front of the GCX buffer. How about fuzz pedals that have a load control?? I know MI Audio Fuzz pedals have a control to change the impedance at the input of the pedal. Or maybe a guitar pickup load simulator? Any experience there??

What can I do guys? Any help would ROCK!

thanks!

Johnny
