Running two amps with GCX with Radial bigshot ABY

Post by mesaman12 »

I have a dual rec and I am wanting to use a second amp for leads. I've heard there can be noise issues involved with doing this so my question is should I use the radial bigshot aby to switch between the amps? If so, how do I hook up this pedal in the GCX? I don't want to play both amps at once, only one at a time. I just want to figure out the best possible way to run these. Thanks a lot.

Switching between two amps can be prone to ground loop problems but with careful troubleshooting this should be easily solved. If you use the BigShot to do this then the connection would be the last GCX loop you are using for effects in front of the amps goes to the Input on the A/B box.
