Rigs & volume pedals

Hello. I'm new here and I have a question. I'm interested in the GCX and Ground Control system. I use a volume pedal all the time. Is there a way to use a volume pedal thru the system without running audio cables from the rack to the volume pedal?
Thanks in advance.

You could put the volume pedal in the rack.
The Ground Control Pro has two expression pedal ports for sending real time control data to any MIDI device using keyboard expression pedals or guitar volume pedals. The ability to control volume via an expression pedal connected to a Ground Control Pro all depends on the MIDI device you are ultimately controlling. The only device we have ever made that allowed for MIDI controlled volume was the System Mix Plus, however this is a common feature on most MIDI effect processors and some MIDI preamps.

Thanks for the the reply. Just to clarify, I mostly use an assortment of pedals. You're saying it will control a compatible midi device, which I do not use btw. I was hoping one could connect the expression/volume pedal to ground control, and assign it to control volume on one of the loops of the GCX. This is not possible?
Thanks again!

In short, no. Without a MIDI device that will adjust the volume there is nothing the expression pedal connection will do for you.
