New setup routing?

Post by glebreck »

Ok so I originally had a ISP decimator pedal. I got rid of that a purchased a ISP pro Rack G rack piece.

Right now I just have a Gmajor 2 in Loop1 and a BBE in loop 2. Those loops are routed through my effects loop in my head.

So basically my guitar goes into the front of the GCX, guitar out to front of amp, in on loop one is connected to send on efx loop, and out of loop 2 goes to the in on the efx loop.

So if I want to add the prorack g there are 2 sets of ins and out. The first set is just for the guitar and the second set is for the efx loop. My question is on the second set. Do those just goto loop 3 so it is last in the chain for the effects loop?

The second channel of your Decimator can be treated as if it were any other effect you were inserting into your effects loop. If you want it to be bypass-able then you can insert it into the loop of your choice. I would think that the G-Major or the BBE are not noise sources so you may want to place the Decimator before these devices. Placing the Decimator after the processors is not wrong, its just that it will gate any delay and reverb trails.
