I am using 2 GCX Switchers. I know that the Midi out of GCX 1 connects to Pedal in of GCX 2. My concern is connecting the Midi out of GCX 1 to the powered (9vac) Pedal in of GCX 2- In the section of the manual that details connecting the switchers it does not mention this as an issue. Later in the manual it states that if you connect the Pedal in to any other device to insure that pins 1 and 3 are not active or that you can cause major damage to you equipment.

I have a variety of midi cables but they are all 5 pin active. Can I use a 5 pin active cable to connect the 2 switchers or do I need to find a 3 pin cable? Thanks!!!

We worked very closely with the guys that made the GCX when we made the GCX and we all ensured that connecting the two together would not cause either one to be damaged in any way. Good luck!
