Well.. as the title says..
My GCX and ground control won't connect anymore
I had this problem since I bought it actually, they all of a sudden lose connection or won't connect when I switch power on.
I sent an email to the voodoo labs support, got a very friendly reply and they told me that it probably was my midi-cable that was broken so I bought 2 new ones.
I tested it with the new cable and it has the same problem, the second new cable as well.
the thing I'm facing now is that normally after a few tries both will connect again and I can play on but now they won't connect after even trying 20 times or more, trying to switch cables, waiting long times between power off and power on
Both systems get power (GCX gives the 8 lights that go on and off in the beginning and ground control gets the power trough the midi cable) but still no connection?

Re: GCX - Ground Control won't connect anymore
Is GCX-1 enabled in the Expanders section within Setup Mode on the Ground Control Pro? Is there any sign of damage to the Ground Control Pro MIDI Out jack or to the GCX Pedal In jack? Do you have any other MIDI devices that will respond to changes from the Ground Control Pro?

Re: GCX - Ground Control won't connect anymore
GCX-1 is enabled
There is no damage at all (gcx is in a good flightcase with guitarhead, weighs over 90 kg, never been dropped, only rolled - ground control is in a special wooden box for transport) -both devices are new from september 2009, played 3 gigs with it-
midi connectors are in good shape, not wiggly or so.. works fine
There are no other midi-devices connected, only amp channels + effect pedals
I brought it to the shop where I bought it to try and find out what's the problem and hopefully they will have the same problem quickly so they can send it for repair
I myself think it's probably a bad contact at the midi-connector on the gcx or ground control but I won't screw with it while it still has it's warranty
