Hello!
I have recently bought a gcx switcher/ground control pro and I have a few ideas and questions to the learned that you all are!
first one is;
voltage power issues.
I neglected to mention I am from England. are there any voltage issues i need to worry about? and what plugs can I use if not!?
second one is;
expression pedals.
I want to grab an expression/volume pedal (any suggestions would be wonderful.)
What I would like to do/know in an ideal world is;
Can I hook one up to control a pod pro xt and a digitech whammy?
I basically want to have just one expresson pedal that can control the pod and the whammy.
all the best!

Re: My new setup
Hey bro,
from memory(!) the GCX runs off a 9v AC transformer, so as long as you have the right transformer for your country it should be fine. If you bought the units in your country the appropriate transformer should be supplied with them anyway.
As for the expression pedal, i believe yes you can set it up so that when the GCPro is on say, preset #1, you're using the pedal to control the Whammy, but when you're on preset #2, you control the Pod, etc. (check out page 19 of the GCPro manual)
Hope this has helped mate, best of luck with it!
Dawesy.
*EDIT: actually, there's a section in the GCPro manual about using it with a Pod, but i've never read it cause i don't own a Pod.. but i'm thinking, if you have to set up the GCPro specifically just to use it with the Pod then it may disallow you from using it with other units.. I'll have a read and find out for ya!

Thank you for the input!
I actually bought this from the land of the free(ish)
the united states of america of course...
I have done some more tiring research and I reckon you are onto something. I think that transformers are generic and all I may need to do is buy an actual power plug to plug into the transformer, but hopefully someone can confirm this sometime soon...

Im in the UK, and i ordered my GCX from the states. Just get a UK power supply for it from a VL supplier, Sounds Great in Manchester for instance.
