Hi there
I have recently bought a mxr dyna comp and it works very well when I plug it stright to my Mesa dual rectifier (guitar-compressor-amp)
But when I put it into GCX loop1 and than into fornt of my amp it just sound like a crap and the level drops drastically. Why? Can anybody knows?
Thanks
Dom

Re: GCX AND COMPRESSOR
I'm just taking a wild guess here, but perhaps it's due to the buffered signal you're getting when you plug your guitar into the Guitar In jack. Try using the passive Feed Thru jack and see if it makes any difference. Don't know if this will help or not, but it's something to try, if you haven't done so already.dominof wrote:Hi there

Re: GCX AND COMPRESSOR
You might also try each cable and see if its the cable dropping the audio. I had this problem with a couple of cables I built and until I tested each one I didn't know what the problem was. They would pass audio, and putting a volt meter to them they seemed to work but plugging into an amp directly with that cable there was a drastic drop in audio. Something to try anyway.
Good luck.

Re: GCX AND COMPRESSOR
yeah it turned out that was the buffer problem. As I now know compressors, phasers, wahs don't like buffored signal. So I plug the guitar into FEED THRU and it's perfect.
