I recently set up my rig with GCP and when I started editing 4-button presets it occured to me. Why are presets marked with numbers? Why can't you name them with songs you use them for? I sent an email to support and they said that's a great idea.
What do you think?

I'm not sure I understand your point. You can name the presets in the GCP anything you want. Yes the number is still there, but there is room for song or preset names.
I named this one "LEAD 1" :
Dom
Ground Control Pro | GCX | Control Switcher | PP2+ | Mesa Dual Rectifier Roadster | Mesa Mark V | Mesa Stiletto Deuce | (2) Mesa Rectifier 4X12's | '73 Gibson Les Paul Custom | '12 Gibson Les Paul Trad | '10 Carvin CT6M | TC G-Major
Re: Naming presets on GCP
Ah yes posting in the early hours can be tricky. I was aiming for the banks. perhaps your lead settings for are not the same for all the songs? so you have 4 presets per bank let's say and your 4 presets are different in other songs. So instead of having piece of paper on stage with songs - banks written on it, you could name banks after the song you play? Just a brainfart. As for naming presets I am aware of that

Re: Naming presets on GCP
So can you do that i just assumed you could thats kind of why i got the GCP instead of getting a t.c electronics gsystem?
Mesa dual rectifier- vintage mesa/boogie cab - Voodoo lab GCP- Voodoo lab GCX- Voodoo lab power digital- Voodoo lab power 4X4- Jackson, LTD and Ibanez Rg7621 all with EMG's
Re: Naming presets on GCP
Well you can name presets as you like. But banks are still marked with numbers.rockaway wrote:So can you do that i just assumed you could thats kind of why i got the GCP instead of getting a t.c electronics gsystem?
Re: Naming presets on GCP
I don't understand your comparison. The G System is a complete FX & MIDI control system, the GCP is just a MIDI controller.rockaway wrote:So can you do that i just assumed you could thats kind of why i got the GCP instead of getting a t.c electronics gsystem?

Re: Naming presets on GCP
Sorry as i run a g major 2 and i had always planned to and it being the only midi device i plan on running i had to choose between just buying the "all in 1 g system" or buying the GCPro and the g major 2 separately. Don't get me wrong the other reason i choose voodoo lab was the wicked GCX and I'm glad i did, but i just assumed you could name banks for different song my mistake guess i should have double checked that one
