Commander, Pedal Switcher and Control Switcher question

Post by sdeyoung »

Hello everyone, I apologize in advance if this topic has already come up. Just need a quick clarification on how to hook all this up. Do I go, MIDI out from Commander to MIDI in on Pedal Switcher, MIDI out of Pedal Switcher MIDI in of Control Switcher? And will one of these devices (if powered from Pedal Power 2) phantom power the other two?

another question.. I plugged everything straight into the pedal switcher just to test. I don't have the commander yet, should be arriving in a couple of days. For some reason my delay in loop 3 lowers the overall volume when activated. It's an MXR Carbon Copy. Using it without the pedal switcher it doesn't seem to have this effect. Could it be the other pedals connected without the pedal switcher gives it a bit of a boost? How can I correct this?

The MIDI path can be done a couple ways. the only must is that the Commander is first in the MIDI path. The first question would really be where will this stuff be mounted. Will you be mounting all three units to a pedalboard?

For the diminished volume on the delay, first check the cables leading to and from the delay to be sure that is not the problem.

Thanks John.. I have it figured out now. Think I may of had something hooked up wrong because it's working fine now.
