Using the buffered input on second pedal switcher

In the video with James Santiago, he talks about using the second pedal switcher's buffered input to drive other effects like flange, chorus. Where is the output coming from, the first pedal switcher or the fuzz. It's not very clear or I missed something.

In that video, the second Pedal Switcher is being fed from the Output of the first Pedal Switcher.
