I have a GCP hooked up to my GCX. When I try to power on the GCX, the active light goes on, the lights blink from 8 to 1 (or was it 1 to 8) and then all the lights turn off. I tried to turn it on and off quickly and that didn't work. I turned it off, waited a few seconds, and then turned it back on and it showed me the same light sequence again. Then it turns off. The GCP isn't getting any power either. I can hear my guitar through it when it's on though
edit: i knew it was going to be an easy fix. The midi cable was plugged into the Midi In on the GCP. I hope that didn't do any damage!
Well I also have another problem. I have a chorus pedal hooked up to loop 3 on the GCX. Whenever I turn that loop on, I can hear the radio through my amp. I put the chorus pedal through loop 1 and I didn't hear any radio. I tried an overdrive pedal on loop 3 and I heard 2 radio stations playing through my amp. Is the problem coming from the GCX?
GCX problem
Re: GCX problem
No damage will occur from the incorrect MIDI connection... as you witnessed, it just won't work.
The radio problem is most likely a bad ground connection on one or more of your cables. Try simplifying the setup down to the fewest pieces of gear that still yields the problem to find the source.

Re: GCX problem
I tried swapping the cables and I still heard the same radio stuff coming out. I'm going to try reducing the amount of gear going into the gcx... but it's not much right now at the moment. just a g major, chorus pedal, and an overdrive pedal.
